Entry #10 Hey its Summer!!

Now that winter is over, and summer has come to stay for now I can safely say that kids are going to be bored. Especially since school is out and kids are going to be bored. That shouldn’t be a problem for the families, in fact, this should be a great opportunity for the family to bond and have fun together. Summer is an endless opportunity to have fun and go wild for the kids because they don’t have to stress about homework and teachers.

      They can just be kids and imagine everything they can. Parents should take this time to make sure that kids can be just kids they should go on road trips and stay outside till dark. Kids during summer should take the time to rewind and relax with the family. They should have movie nights with their friends and go on adventures.

       Summers are times to be lazy while being active in different ways. Like playing video games one night then later playing basketball with their friends. Summertime’s should be a time to be rambunctious and wild because it all about the fun. Kids should go to summer camps to make new friends and write exciting letters home to tell their families about their adventures.   

      Summers may be a nightmare for parents but for a kid it is paradise and they should treat it as such. Because summer only lasts for two and a half months then back to school prison there is. Summers are miracles for everybody to people who want to earn extra cash to kids who want to sleep till noon.

Extra Credit: fresh

     

        The way that the people treat the animals in the movie fresh is better than the way that other farmers treat their animals because they don't do it for love instead, they do it for the money. I was surprised by the images of the industrialized food process because in the movie Fresh I saw that they took their time and made sure that the food was organic and came from hard work while other farms made food with engineered products, That was surprising because I thought all food came from the ground, not machines so it’s also sad to see that it is happing. 

         I am also angry with the government because of the lies that they spread around telling civilians that it is natural food and letting kids eat it. Like seedless grapes and white strawberries. The American government is and will always be greedy because the more stuff they can make for cheap and not worry about the consequences the more they can sell it for more money. And the civilians would pay for it because it would be expensive, and people would think that it would be good. 

              Fresh the movie gave me an insight into how food is supposed to be made and how animals are supposed to be treated. It isn’t just humans that the government doesn’t respect it is also animals and other living things. Which is saddening because we all ask for the same things in life and yet it is ignored time and time again. If we don’t bother caring for any of these problems then nobody will care, and it would get worse and worse.

Entry#9 The Food industry!!

          I feel that planting our own food in our backyards would fix a lot of problems because one it would be free and two it would be completely organic. It would save a lot of time going to the store and we would know that our kids are eating organic and safe food which is what we want. Then the viruses couldn’t attack us because we are eating the right food and the food is real.

     

The food industry is all about the money and not about the freshness. This picture shows what food now and days feels. Genetically modified food has been around for decades and has gotten worse and worse to our community. All foods are starting to become less and less organic everything that comes in cans and packets. Organic foods have seeds and come fresh from the ground and are more expensive than regular food which is horrible.

          I say it is horrible because we shouldn't have to pay more for real food than pay less for fake food. And since people want to pay less for everything, they pay less for all the bad viruses that are made into the modified food.  Children are weaker than any other ages so when a virus happens it would start with them.

           The food industry could keep making unhealthy fake food while we could help the farmers out and start planting foods of our own to help the community. Soon organic food would be able to sale at regular price instead of a high price.

Entry#8 What I want to do?

             

I want to visit a lot of places in my life and enjoy the scenery for as long as I can. I want to visit places that my mind didn't even know was there. The way I want to visit all over the place is I want to enlist in the army and get a medic job. I figured out I want to join the army in the spur of a moment, I was sitting on my bed stressing that I didn't know what I was going to do with, my life. I had a plan I just didn't know how to work with it.

              I wanted to finish college but I wanted to join an all nursing school so I can get my BSN, but I needed the money and I didn't have a job. My family and I lived so far away that I would have to live with someone else to find a job. But sadly, my family lived in California so that was impossible, so my only choice was to stay at home and try to find something to do. Which was nearly impossible to find but I was determined. 

            So, I looked at all the military branches and figured what I wanted to be in. I didn't want to be in the Navy because I felt that it didn't suit me, I didn't want to be in the marines either because I don't like water like that, and I would have to be super smart. So, I decided either the Air Force or the Army. I wanted to join the Air Force first because I wanted to join the medical field and travel with everyone even though I am terrified of heights. So that is I want to do in my life hopefully this summer.

Entry #5 Mayhem of the World!!

                         I love the Allstate commercials because even though they are funny they bring in real-world problems that happen every day that no one thinks about until it happens to them. The commercial I wanted to blog about was the Allstate commercial that had the actor in the pink car. The author wanted people to feel how normal teenagers do this how often hit and runs come by and what the audience can do to stop it. The ad says that we may never know what's behind the minds that may have accidentally or purposely hit our cars.

                The lifestyle the ad wants to promote is safe because you can never have too much protection against mayhem and get a peace of mind. That lifestyle is what they are trying to get civilians to buy because with the safety that everybody wants they get protection. The targeted audience for the ads are people who have cars but don't have any insurance. Whether they don't know which insurance to buy or that they haven't gotten around to it, they all need insurance.

   

             The context in the Allstate ad is what everybody who sees this and knows, they want to get them thinking about how that could have been them in the ladies shoes and how it could be prevented if they got Allstate insurance. The ad is funny because there is a guy with pink sunglasses and driving a pink car. If thats were not funny then he starts talking about his best friend kissing the guy he likes. The whole entire commercial he is talking with a serious face. I believe that is funny to everybody.

  

              The ad was designed to be funny but serious. You have a grown man wearing pink sunglasses driving a hot pink car and texting with a bling phone. He seems to be outside a shopping market when his friend texts him that she kissed the crush he liked. Talking to the fourth wall he throws the phone in the back of the car and hits an unsuspecting car that is parked.

 The ad was organized very well because the first thing you see is the guy driving on the phone and talking about his crush. Next, you see the driver in frustration throw the phone because of his anger with his friend. the last thing you see is the lady whose car had been hit. The advertisement had been set up that way because it is such a mundane way that is impossible to see it any other way than normal. That kind of accidents happens so much that people should think about that when they decide to buy insurance.

Entry # 4 Boredom is a real problem!!!

               In this blog, I will be talking about how hard it is to keep kids of all ages between two through twelve without resorting them to the internet just to get them out of parents hairs.  Keeping kids occupied now and days are so hard then it was back in the days especially since the internet wasn't a big deal as it is now, kids had more imagination and freedom back in the days then kids do now.
                  Back in the day's kids wasn't subjected to violent video games and they enjoyed spending time outside going to their friend's houses and staying out until the streetlights turn on. Only then would they go back to their own house for a warm meal and some family television time. Back then those days seem easier to both the parents and the kids because they have time apart and time together.           
           


                In this day and age kids are stuck on video games that has so much violence that it is sicking. Even kids going out it is bad with all of the kidnappings and hit and runs kids are safer at home than going outside even in the front yard. It still shouldn't stop a parent from going outside with their kids to cure any boredom that the kids have. And it could also bring the families together and strengthen their bonds.

                                                In the summer parents should take some time off for the kids so they can do some wholesome activities that involve critical thinking and fun at the same time. It could stop children from being bored and they can always have 30 minutes of outside time safely with their parents and it makes everybody. 

Boredom can really become a problem with kids because kids love to get into everything and like the saying says curiosity killed the cat, the cat is the kids. 

                                  Kids need to focus their attention on positive things instead of the negative like bloody video games to take their boredom away. Kids can play safely outside in the back yard with their friends while video games and other technologies are safely inside the house. That is the best way to cure the boredom of any age with parents and without parents.

Entry#3 Trying times

               I just finished a fine three-course meal at a fancy restaurant that I have never been to before. After I ate a small bowl of creamy potato soup with shredded cheddar cheese I ate my main course of a big well done beefy hamburger with crispy bacon in-between. For dessert, I had a nice slice of strawberry cheesecake that was cold and sweet. Felling that my breath doesn't smell as good anymore, I reach into my bag and grab a rectangular container that holds such a prize for these moments. 

                 Opening the bag I find the small red container I  was looking for that is still in the cellophane because it has never been opened before. I take the small packaging between my teeth and pull it apart with my fingers so the container is instantly free from the cellophane. As I take in the small blue and white...... lemons I reach my hand in and grab one of the lemons finding it smooth and cold to the touch like a small pebble from the pond.
                 Asking my friends do they one I take of for myself and stick it in my mouth opening my mouth for the fresh air to breeze in. Instantly my mouth feels like it is on fire almost like I ate a red hot candy instead of a slice of lemon. I feel as if my mouth was doing the tangle with a polar bear in the middle of December in Alaska. My mouth feels a bit numb from the strong taste like it does not know what to do as the flavor takes a hostage in my mouth, it is exhilarating for my mouth to taste like a fresh breath every time I breathe in.
               I close my mouth again and feel the iciness melting on my tongue giving my tongue a painful yet soothing kiss as it disappears as I chew on the crunchy piece of candy. Swallowing the fresh taste of air I instantly want another one to remind of a cold windy day in December, one I want to relive over and over.
       

Entry#7 The past and future farming

          The documentary Fresh was very interesting to me because it was all about farming and how it brings the goodness to America and how it brings fresh ingredients to families plates to make  happy families. The video was telling us how original farming is turning into dust by chemical agriculture and pollution of big business. There are people that just want money instead of good quality food which brings so many diseases into our homes and in our children.


    Joel Salatin told us how invested he was with his herd how he was proud to make such good products and have everybody strong and healthy from his hearty and healthy products. He tells how his animal eats fresh food instead of steroids and other unnatural stuff that any other fake farmers feed their products. Everything in the three acre farm is done beautifully and naturally, Salatin tells the audience that he wants to leave the next generation the animals in better shape that it was.
       The audience for the documentary are consumers who by products like meat and vegetables from big supermarkets that sell steroid produce for cheap. The farmers want to make the consumers understand that the cheap produce they buy for their families is not healthy and causes e coli, birth defects, nutrition deficiency and obesity. It does not exactly causes obesity but it blocks metabolism so the fat stacks up inside the body causing obesity.

   

  This film does matter because the farmers in the film are telling parents and others who care about the healthy produce then the chemical agriculture food that is on every bodies plates. The farmers are telling the audience to stop buying big business produce when they dont take the time and effort in the foods they sell. The farmers wants consumers to take action and stat farming their own food with natural compost and good ole manure. Instead of the chemical pesticides that marks today's produce.The message that was in the documentary was that farmers want to help bring obesity down have more healthy kids that can bring the next generation the same farming skills that was taught to them. 

Entry #6 Guns? What about guns?

      Guns shouldn't be banned in America but they should make the requirements much stricter than it is today. In Japan, it takes people up to two years to get a gun depending on their qualifications and their mental stability. The people in Japan have to take many tests to determine if they are fit to carry a gun. This is what America should do because they are so many mass shootings it is hard to go out with children now and days.
     In Japan, the civilians get tested every two years to make sure that they are mentally stable. Guns that should be used to protect people are used to hurt innocent people on purpose.  Nobody is safe anymore not even in schools, the president should become very strict on who the government gives guns to and have a no tolerance rule. The no tolerance rule would if a police officer or any other government working person have a gun then they should have paperwork to go with the gun.
     

  If a citizen has a gun they should have paperwork stating that they pass the tests and is eligible to carry a gun around. The no tolerance would be if a person doesn't have paperwork for the gun they should have five years in jail. It sounds harsh but it will really help keep children safe and alive which should be happening already. Children are the key to the future and they are dying by something that could be easily stopped and controlled. People shouldn't have to beg the president by pointing out all the deaths that have been happing a lot in schools, churches, and malls. Teachers shouldn't have to carry guns and learn safe combat so they can save any and all kids they can.
            In Japan death by gun is rarely seen 10 people rarely die every year by gun. America should be just as strict as Japan because of the death rates could be just as low Japan. 9 times out 10 a child dies from a gun that is under the age of 15.  Even police in Japan barely have guns instead they use long batons, which America should take note of too. It would set a good example to the civilians of America to see the law giving up guns so they could too. In fact, it would stop a lot of cops and fugitive shoot outs also and no cop would be able to die from a stray bullet. Neither an innocent civilian or a  fugitive either.
        If Donald Trump ever made these restrictions mass shootings would be impossible therefore life would be easier for kids and parents who have to worry. The parent would be at ease because they can guarantee their kids safe trip to school and back, they wouldn't have to worry about it being their last times seeing their kids alive. Cops wouldn't be able to get blamed for any killings and people wouldn't be able to shot anybody for no reason. The streets would be safer from gangs, drive-bys, and robberies in even the lowest neighboorhood.
       I truly believe if America copies Japan in the gun restrictions Life all around would be a lot easier and a lot safer to live. Nobody can pose a threat to anybody without a gun and so kidnappings would go down a lot along with break-ins and guns would be nothing but the past for those who don't need them. Donald Trump needs to see America as it is and right now it isn't safe and for him to say let's make America great again he should start with this.

Entry # 2 Following In Her Footsteps...

       My mother is a foster parent to so many kids. She started when she was just 18 and was helping my grandma who was also a foster parent then. In my younger childhood memories I remember so many kids that was taken in and loved. My mom specialized in newborn babies to seven year old kids. Now in my nineteens I realize that what she does is a great wonderful thing, as many people would say it is an angelic deed to do.
      I want to do the same thing that my mom does because looking at the poor, down on their look little kids I want to teach them that it is not their fault. Sometimes it is hard because once you get attached to that little kid and they call you mom it would be time for them to go back home. That is the part that is heart breaking because you think of that kid as your own and nobody can tell you different.To this day I still wonder to myself about all the kids that came to our house and left.
    Even though they are gone from the house their presence is still with me. I want to be a mom that can give other little kids love that they will remember for a lifetime even when they do leave my house. My mom also adopted seven kids that she fostered and now they are happy little munchkins that are filled with love. That is why I want to follow in my mothers footsteps because I want to give love to the kids that need it the most. I want to hug them and tell them that everything will be okay when they are with me.

Bloggers Digestion

   
     Blogs to me I think are a great idea because it gives people a chance to write about whatever they feel and why. Blogs can help people understand things better instead pf keeping it in your head all jumbled up. I write when I feel confident or confused. Either way it helps people get a grip of things and help the audience learn a few things that they did not know.
      Recently I read three blog that was very interesting to look upon. The first blog that I had read was Bloggies. The blog was awarding the best bloggers in all sorts of categories. I really liked this blog because it was informative and engaging. The star that was on the side of the awards was a really fascinating picture because when you moved on to the next category the star showed the picture of it. The authors purpose of this blog was to award everybody for doing the best blogs. There were so many winners and in a lot of categories so nobody was left out.
      This blog was really good so there wasn't anything that I didn't like. The blog was well organized into their own categories so you would not be confused. The format that the blog used was professional because everything was down to business nothing was private and the tone was impersonal. This why I was so enthusiastic about this blog because it was well thought out and so organized that it was easy to read and understand.
      The next blog that I read was Kotaku Gaming Reviews. I didn't really like this blog because I don't really like games that much. This what this blog was about also, the blog was  about the most popular review on games that the bloggers play. The tone of the blog was personal because the bloggers were talking about their experience about the games they played. The organization of the blog was confusing because it didn't explain to us how it was organized the way it was in demonstration.All in all the the blogs that I had read today were interesting and enthralling to digest. Each blog themselves were perfect and in great writing skills.

The One and Only Me.

         Hey guys! My name is Meriyah Beyonce Williams, Meriyah as in Mariah Carey and Beyonce as in the singer.Yes I know I have two very famous names, I like my unique name. I am a very simple person, I love all things reading, I love eating and I love being lazy. My favorite thing to do would be to hole up in my nice,comfortable,bed with junk food and binge watch a t.v show. The last t.v show I just watch was Stranger Things. That show was a stupendous and thrilling experience! If you have not watched that show then you need to right now. It was scary and exciting, maybe one of the best shows I have watched.

       Overall I barley watch t.v because of the repeated plot line. I have a very big family and my house is never quiet. I have five brothers and four sisters along with my mom and dad and two dogs that I love very much. We also have six goldfishes and one plecostomus fish. A plecostomus fish is a black speckled fish that is bigger than an average goldfish. I do not have any hobbies unless being lazy counts. I feel as if that was a hobby then I would be best at it. I honestly do believe that I am allergic to hardcore workouts. Unless it is walking I do not want any thing to do with it.
   

   I am in college right now and my goal are to finish with a associates degree in nursing. Later on after I get acquainted with nursing I might want to do bachelors degree in nursing. I want to be a E.R nurse because honestly I want to sew limbs back on and I want to be able to help assist in surgery. I at first wanted to be a Ob/gyn but I realized that aside from helping give birth I would be staring down there every day no matter the age or if they are pregnant or not.I could not do it I could not even stomach it.
